Events
Our annual events are consistently recognized as some of the best social events in the Chicago legal community. These events attract more than 3,000 people and raise more than $400,000 annually for the CBF’s continuing efforts to improve access to justice for people in need and make the legal system more fair and accessible for everyone.

Each July more than 700 legal professionals come together to recognize leaders in Chicago’s legal community who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to advancing equal access to justice. Honoring seven of our profession’s unsung heroes from a broad cross-section of the legal community, these awards also serve to build awareness of the impact our collective efforts can have in the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community.

For more than two decades, more than 2,000 people from throughout Chicago’s community gather to support the CBF and enjoy a fun, casual, family friendly evening. Hosted at one of the City’s most treasured museums, guests enjoy food, drinks, live music, special children’s activities, and a unique silent auction. The Benefit takes place in November each year, making it an ideal choice for holiday family fun!

Passport to Chicago highlights the rich culture and cuisines of Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods. Lawyers, legal professionals, and food enthusiasts gather to network, celebrate, and support the CBF. Guests enjoy cooking demonstrations and tastings representing different Chicago neighborhoods prepared by The Chopping Block’s chef instructors. Guests can both try some yummy food and learn new skills to bring to their kitchens at home.
