
On Friday, May 15, the CBF hosted a virtual Passport to Chicago event in partnership with The Chopping Block. Chef Sara led our guests through a cooking demonstration of Roasted Vegetable and Black Bean Enchiladas with Ranchero Sauce and Refried Beans, teaching a variety of useful knife and other culinary skills in the process. If you were unable to join the event, you can still try out this recipe at home.
Thank you to our co-chairs, Jeanne Doran of LexisNexis and Nancy Roberts Linder of Linder Legal Staffing, for another year of leading us through this fun event. Both our chairs and our event committee members provided invaluable feedback to the CBF as we worked to pivot to an engaging virtual format for the event.
Additionally, we raised extra funds for the CBF’s work to increase access to justice by raffling off several restaurant gift card bundles. Thank you to our board and Young Professionals Board members for supporting some of their local favorites by donating these gift cards.
