2nd Annual Passport to Chicago a Big Success

DSC_7957On Friday, May 1, more than 175 guests attended the CBF’s 2nd Annual Passport to Chicago at Kendall College, a culinary tour of various neighborhoods of the Windy City with dishes presented by members of the Kendall College Competition Club. The creations were paired with an appealing selection of regional beer and wine supplied by Midwest Wine Selections.

The event, co-chaired by Jeanne Doran of LexisNexis and Nancy Linder of Linder Legal Staffing, culminated in a competition for the Top Chef judged by both the guests and a Culinary Professional Panel. This year, the student chefs were competing for one of two $1,000 scholarships one from the CBF and the other generously sponsored by Linder Legal Staffing. The Culinary Professional Panel chose Josiah Fischer for his homemade Weisswurst and sauerkraut (Lincoln Square), and William Marvin won the People’s Choice for his Coco Flan (Pilsen).

We thank our sponsors and guests for their generosity in supporting this event and enabling the CBF to improve access to justice for people in need. Sign up for emails, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get updates on next year’s Passport to Chicago and our other special events.
