Welcome, Mehroz & Natalie!

This summer, the CBF is fortunate enough to work with two spectacular interns and externs: Mehroz Mohammed and Natalie Byrnes.

Mehroz is a rising 2L at the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign/Urbana who is doing her externship with the CBF as part of the school’s Racial Justice Practicum. She wants to become a lawyer to help improve access to legal services. In her free time Mehroz enjoys baking and reading books by her favorite author, Amy Tan. Among a variety of projects, Mehroz is taking a lead role on the CBF’s Cultural Responsiveness Hub pilot program.

Natalie is a rising Junior at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She is a double major in Politics/International Affairs and Spanish. Natalie is particularly interested in issues surrounding immigration, and in addition to helping with the CBF’s work on those issues, she is helping with this year’s CBA/CBF Pro Bono & Public Service Awards process. When her internship concludes, Natalie will be studying abroad in Barcelona next semester.

We are excited to have them on the CBF team this Summer, and we hope you get a chance to meet them!
