Building on the momentum from last year’s successful Investing in Justice Campaign, Kristian (Krist) Werling will lead the 2025 Campaign, which kicks off next month.
Bob Rivkin, Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer at United Airlines and the 2024 Campaign Chair, officially passed the torch to Krist, a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery and a global leader in the legal community, to lead this year’s Campaign. The Campaign is the CBF’s annual initiative that rallies Chicago’s entire legal community around our common cause of helping to ensure that everyone has access to necessary legal help, not just people who can afford it. This year’s Campaign will kick off in April and run through June.
The Investing in Justice Campaign is the largest campaign of its kind anywhere in the country. Thousands of individual lawyers and legal professionals at nearly 150 Chicago-area law firms, corporate legal departments, companies, and other law-related organizations are again expected to be part of the Campaign. Since its inception in 2007, the Campaign has raised more than $20 million, which has leveraged millions more in additional funding through the CBF’s foundation and government partners in the Campaign grant process.
