This is the time of year when we our minds turn to traditions. From Halloween and Dia de los Muertos to Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas, this is the season for annual traditions with friends and family. In 1997, the CBF started its own tradition in our legal community the annual Fall Benefit. Each November since then, this family-friendly event has been held at one of Chicago’s iconic museums and provides a perfect opportunity for friends, family and colleagues from across our legal community to come together, kick off the holiday season, and celebrate and advance the CBF’s mission.

Outgrowing its original spots at the Children’s Museum and the Adler Planetarium, the Fall Benefit now rotates between the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry. Thanks to the generosity of our many sponsoring firms, companies and individual supporters, more than 2,200 guests now attend each year.
This year’s 22nd iteration will return to the Museum of Science and Industry on November 17 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Guests again will enjoy eye-opening exhibits, including The Science Behind Pixar special exhibit, and unique activities for kids like face-painting and sand art. Plus, the sprawling silent auction is housed within the museum’s Christmas Around the World exhibit in its opening weekend, adding a special holiday feel to this unforgettable night.
