On Friday, June 23, the CBF celebrated another successful Investing in Justice Campaign with our rock star Campaign Chair Amy Manning of McGuireWoods LLP and her band Flood Waters playing an unforgettable set of music at The Club Shot & Beer in Elmhurst.
The Campaign is on track to exceed last year’s $1.4 million in individual contributions, with thousands of lawyers and legal professionals at more than 130 participating firms and companies contributing and most participating firms and companies reporting increases this year. Those funds will support the work of more than 30 pro bono and legal aid organizations and related initiatives.
Since its inception in 2007, the Campaign has grown tremendously and is the largest campaign of its kind anywhere in the country. The Campaign has raised more than $20 million to date while leveraging millions more in additional support for the pro bono and legal aid organizations serving the Chicago area.
