Wills for Heroes
Give back to the brave citizens who keep us safe everyday here in Chicago our first responders by volunteering at a CBA Young Lawyers Section Wills for Heroes event. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Chicago Police Headquarters, 3510 S. Michigan Ave.

Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation
You can provide quality legal counsel to survivors of sexual assault and ensure that survivors are not further victimized when they attempt to engage in the criminal justice system’s efforts against rapists. Join CAASE for a training on Monday, March 30th from 12:00 to 2:00 to learn about providing legal representation and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault. CARPLS Legal Aid Hotline
Help low-income families solve their everyday legal problems! CARPLS is an innovative legal aid service that offers an immediate response to the everyday legal problems confronting low-income families in Cook County. Volunteers are needed to cover hotline shifts during the day (M-F) or in the evening (M or W) and are asked to commit to 36 service hours annually. The next hotline training cycle begins Wednesday, January 28. No experience is required and attendees will receive MCLE credit. RSVP or get more details…

Cabrini Green Legal Aid Intake Training
Would you like to help low-income clients with criminal defense, housing, family and criminal records (healthcare waiver, certificate of good conduct, and certificate of eligibility for sealing) cases? Cabrini Green Legal Aid provides both criminal and civil legal services integrated with social work support to individuals facing barriers stemming from an encounter with the criminal justice system. Volunteers are needed to conduct intake with potential clients on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings, with a corresponding mandatory intake meeting on Thursday afternoons, lasting 1.5 hours.
