Cabrini Green Legal Aid Intake Training

Would you like to help low-income clients with criminal defense, housing, family and criminal records (healthcare waiver, certificate of good conduct, and certificate of eligibility for sealing) cases? Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA) provides both criminal and civil legal services integrated with social work support to individuals facing barriers stemming from an encounter with the criminal justice system. Volunteers are needed to conduct intake with potential clients on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings, with a corresponding mandatory intake meeting on Thursday afternoons, lasting 1.5 hours.

This is a great opportunity for law students, new admittees and attorneys who are either looking for a set, limited time commitment or are new to pro bono. The next training will take place on August 20, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. No experience is needed and MCLE credit will be provided, but space is limited. Email ShannonMcDonnell@cgla.net with questions or to RSVP for the training. Find out more…
