Justice Entrepreneurs Project Accepting Applications

January 23, 2018

The Justice Entrepreneurs Project is seeking entrepreneurial and public interest-minded recent law graduates for its next class of lawyers who will begin the program in May 2018.

The JEP prepares talented and entrepreneurial lawyers in the Chicago area to manage innovative, socially conscious, and successful law practices. We believe in the power of entrepreneurial lawyers to make a difference as solo practitioners in the quest to ensure access to justice for all. And after welcoming ten cohorts into the JEP Network, we know it’s possible to do well while doing good. We’re excited to help the next generation of attorneys build businesses by meeting the needs of an untapped market for legal services.

Are you a recently admitted lawyer interested in obtaining the skills and resources necessary to build an innovative and successful law practice? Are you interested in making a positive impact on your community as a social entrepreneur? We offer access to mentorship, continuing legal education, and a network of like-minded individuals, along with free and subsidized resources, to kick start a legal practice targeted at the underserved middle market of potential clients.

Applications are due Monday, March 5th, 2018. You can learn more about the program and applying at information sessions at the JEP offices (208 S. Jefferson, Suite 204) on February 20th at noon and February 22nd at 6:00 pm. If you plan to attend an information session, please fill out this form.

If you have questions about the JEP, please email jepparticipantinfo@chicagobar.org.
