We are very fortunate to have many who fit that bill in Chicago’s legal community, and the annual CBA/CBF Pro Bono & Public Service Awards are designed to highlight their inspiring work. This year’s recipients will be honored at the Pro Bono & Public Service Awards Luncheon on Friday, July 29 at the Hilton Chicago.
We invite you to submit nominations by Wednesday, June 15, 2022, and you can learn more about each of the awards and how you can submit a nomination through the links below. The six individual awards are:
- Thomas H. Morsch Public Service Award
lifelong excellence by a public interest attorney
- Edward J. Lewis II Pro Bono Service Award
outstanding pro bono legal service
- Exelon Outstanding Corporate Counsel Award
outstanding pro bono and community service by a corporate attorney
- Leonard Jay Schrager Award of Excellence
significant and lasting contributions to improving access to justice by an attorney in academia
- Justice Thomas L. Kilbride Public Service Award
excellent work and demonstrated commitment to increasing access to justice by a government attorney
- Maurice Weigle Exceptional Young Lawyer Award
initiative and exceptional contributions to the profession, the organized bar, and the community by a young attorney
