Long-time CBF Leader Austin Hirsch Recognized by Bulletin of Atomic Scientists

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists this month honored one of our long-time CBF partners and leaders, Austin Hirsch, with a lifetime achievement award. The award recognizes individuals who make major contributions in the fields of journalism, science, advocacy, and art to create a healthier, safer planet.

Austin is a former CBF board member who remains an active member of the CBF Alumni Council and several CBF committees and a committed donor to the cause.

Receiving the award along with Lowell Sachnoff and their firm, Reed Smith LLP, Austin recounted the experiences that led him to devote decades of energy and resources to the Bulletin and its mission to equip the public, policymakers, and scientists with the information needed to reduce man-made threats to our existence. Congratulations, Austin!
