The 23rd Annual CBA/CBF Pro Bono & Public Service Awards Luncheon on July 16th marked several important milestones for our community.
We were excited to be the first post-pandemic event at one of our City’s most venerable institutions, the Hilton Chicago, as an important step towards Chicago’s comeback.
We also were proud to award the inaugural Justice Thomas L. Kilbride Public Service Award and were pleased that Justice Kilbride, his family, and many friends and colleagues could be there to mark the occasion.
And most importantly, we were humbled to honor seven unsung heroes in our profession for their remarkable pro bono and public service achievements.
If you were not able to make it to this year’s event, you can hear firsthand from our impressive honorees by watching a recording here.
Johnny Nash’s I Can See Clearly Now set the tone of this year’s event and reminded us what we could all see clearly there: the tremendous difference we all can make. Our honorees showed us firsthand that wherever we are in the legal community, we have a unique ability to make people’s lives better.
