Development & Events Coordinator
Christopher Montiel joined the CBF staff as Development and Events Coordinator in August 2016. Christopher is responsible for the management and oversight of CBF’s annual fundraising events and provides strategic and administrative support in the organization’s development efforts.
Prior to joining the CBF, Christopher served as the Marketing and Sales Manager at The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts in Minneapolis, MN, where he played a key role in event management, multi-channel marketing and communications, and propelling the organization’s mission of making dance and the performing arts accessible to all.
Christopher earned B.A. and B.F.A. degrees from Wichita State University with magna cum laude honors. While at WSU, Christopher served on the Executive Committee of the Emerging Leaders organization and as a member of the university’s touring performance group, Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Christopher continues to serve the Chicago arts community and has been actively involved with Chicago’s Links Hall for many years.
Outside of the CBF, he reads on the train, eats on patios, and choreographs everywhere.
